Launched in 2019, leafie is a media platform exploring drugs and the cultural events that connect us all.
By mixing education and entertainment, leafie has been meeting a growing demand for unbiased and trustworthy information on substances, such as cannabis and psychedelics, that have for decades been unfairly vilified but are now seen as tools for improved health and wellness.
Issue 01 of leafie’s bi-annual print magazine will create a beautiful physical space for content that doesn’t fit online. In-depth features, untold stories, stunning photography, creative expression, and articles that demand distraction-free attention.
Building on digital success, we hope to give readers something physical that can invoke the imagination through touch and feel. While other print publications exist in this space, the content is produced through a North American lens. The UK and Europe have unique, vibrant cannabis and psychedelic cultures, we believe it's time to celebrate the work of the activists, patients, pioneers, and individuals making waves on our own shores.
At leafie, we’ve always been proud of our commitment to writing content not just for those embedded in these cultures, but also for the curious. We believe that anyone will be able to pick up any copy of our print publication and be entertained.

WHY IS THIS MAGAZINE IMPORTANT?
For many years, the media has had an uncomfortable relationship with drugs. Frequently, information is biased, inaccurate, and often dangerous. We believe that education leads to better decision-making, reduces stigma, opens up conversation, and allows adults to form informed opinions of their own. For too long, drug culture magazines have focused only on the US, it's time for us to have our voices heard.
